Salmon-Halibut-Bottom
Fishing
COMBINATION
FISHING & SIGHTSEEING
Spend an exhilarating day aboard the "Kennedy Lake" a 40 ft. wood hulled west coast troller and experience fishing at its best. High quality gear, tackle and rain coats are supplied. We suggest you dress warmly (you can always peel) and if you prefer, bring your own rain gear. Ocean air is sure to make you hungry, so pack your lunch and some snacks. There's no greater way to spend a day than on the water fishing with the possible sighting of whales, eagles and off shore birds with your guide Roger Gudbranson, who was raised in Ucluelet and has over 40 years of west coast fishing experience. |

SALTWATER FISHING is an awesome expierence. In April,
winter springs (chinooks) are ranging from 5-15 pounds in the
protected waters of Barkley Sound. This is also the time that
the gray whales are migrating. By June, the fish have put on
a few pounds and coho are starting to show up along with the
halibut. July and August are the premium months for off shore
fishing, the waters are calmer, the fish are bigger and we have
far more daylight to play with. At the close of the season in
September coho weighing up to 15 pounds are not an uncommon sight,
a great way to complete the season. |
